nokki Privacy Policy
The music journal app “nokki” (the “App”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the App handles and why.
This English version is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.
1. Information we collect
• Account information: the identifier and display name provided by Sign in with Apple or Google.
• Your entries: information about the songs you log (title, artist, catalog ID), moods, notes, who can see each entry, comments, and reactions.
• Avatar settings: the combination of parts and colors (no image is stored).
• Push notification token: an FCM token used to deliver notifications.
• Crash information: records of when the App quits unexpectedly (where it happened, device model, OS version, and so on). This is collected without linking it to your account.
2. How we use it
• To save your entries and share them on the timeline with your friends
• To receive reports and review and act on violations (only the nokki team sees reporter information)
• To deliver in-app and push notifications
• For AI Recap (generating text that summarizes your entries)
• To prevent abuse
• To find and fix bugs (reviewing crash information)
3. Third-party services
The App uses the following services. Data is processed according to each service’s privacy policy.
• Google Firebase (authentication, database, notifications, App Check, Crashlytics, usage analytics via Google Analytics for Firebase)
• Google Gemini API (AI Recap via Firebase AI Logic. The song titles, moods, and notes of your entries are sent to generate the recap)
• Apple Music / iTunes Search API (searching the music catalog, album artwork, and previews)
• App Store / Google Play (subscription payments. The App never receives your card details)
• RevenueCat (to verify and restore your subscription. Your purchase history and an anonymous, app-generated user ID are sent. Privacy policy)
4. Sharing and advertising
Except where required by law, we do not sell or provide your personal information to third parties. The App contains no advertising SDKs.
5. Deleting your data
You can delete entries from within the App at any time.
You can delete your account yourself at any time from Settings > Delete account in the App. This deletes the related data on our servers, including your entries, Night Notes, recaps, friend connections, and the comments and reactions you left on other people’s entries.
For the steps, and a list of what is deleted and what remains, see Deleting your account.
6. Changes
We may update this policy as needed. If there are important changes, we will let you know in the App.
